Commodore's Message 2012

Current Weather

Welcome to the Port Stanley Sailing Squadron on the north shore of Lake Erie in Port Stanley, Ontario, Canada. Located in the lower reaches of the Kettle Creek, just north of the Lift Bridge within easy walking distance to all Port Stanley’s amenities, we are a small club with a big heart.  Sailors from around the world have visited us, and our members have literally sailed the world as well.  You are always welcome at our docks and clubhouse.

Our mission is to promote the sport of sailing and fellowship among our members and the sailing community in general and encourage skill development for safe sailing, whether for competition or cruising.  We organize the ‘round the buoys’ races for the Port Stanley sailing community and with our sister club in Ashtabula Ohio we have hosted international long distance sailing in Lake Erie for almost 50 years. In 2011, we were host to the 2011 Canadian Soling Championship, one of Canada's premier sail racing events which attracted top national and international sailors from as far away as Germany.

Spend a little time navigating our website.  If you are in Port Stanley stop by and introduce yourself. We are located at 305 Sailors’ Alley in Port Stanley and in season our phone is 519-782-9910.

This website was developed to communicate to our membership up-to-date details of race and social events, and to inform other interested sailors with information about who we are and what we do. If you would like to know more about the Port Stanley Sailing Squadron, or if you have any questions or comments, please use our Contact PSSS menu above or click here.

Check our Calendars for upcoming events and participate.  Be sure to enjoy our hospitality.

Safe sailing ...
